Students will write and present their own speeches to an audience. Through research and rehearsal, they’ll learn how to adapt their material and present it in order to engage an audience.
They will learn how to use language to convey a message and develop vocal projection, clarity of speech and how to use body language and visual aids to support their message.
The knowledge section of these exams enables students to know and understand the techniques for clearly communicating their ideas to an audience.
My kids have gone through several LAMDA teachers and by far Liane is the best. Her interaction with my son and daughter has been so positive that my 7 year old sneaks in to do the warm up exercises with her. She motivates them and they have increased in confidence. In their last examination they all gained a distinction and that was due to the input from Liane.

Which exam is right for my child?
I empower my students by giving them the choice of the exam they wish to study.
In the initial lesson, I will offer your child a taste of the main LAMDA exams (Acting, Speaking Verse and Prose and Speaking in Public) and gauge which of them sparks your child’s interest the most.
If your child has taken a LAMDA exam before and they’re keen to progress to the next grade of the same exam, then I will assess them for the next grade up.
Giving students the freedom to choose their exam gives them full ownership over their work. It motivates them to complete any exercises they need to practice in between lessons and it is an important first step as we begin to grow their confidence and self belief.
Whichever exam your child decides to work towards, each is a different route to the same destination. That is – improved public speaking skills and an increase in confidence. LAMDA’s exams enable students to develop a powerful presence to captivate and build rapport with any audience or anyone now and in their future lives.
