I hope you and your loved ones are all keeping well and looking forward to a break and a chance to reflect. One thing this year has taught us is what is important in life and I hope that the lessons that we have provided have given some structure, focus and fun to our students.
The world changed overnight back in March and I am incredibly grateful to our parents and students for their continued support as we transitioned to online lessons whilst losing none of the quality of teaching that we are renowned for.
We have delivered more than a thousand hours of online lessons and I have also been delighted that we have been able to provide work for actors as theatres and film productions closed down.
At the same time as running online lessons, we made the step of becoming an online exam centre this year meaning that our students could sit their LAMDA exams from the safety and comfort of their own homes. The results of our first online exam day speak for the hard work of all of our students across the year with everyone passing and more than 70% gaining a distinction.
We have been overjoyed hearing the feedback from parents and students and to hear stories of them securing school places and drama scholarships thanks to the hard work of our students and tutors.
It has been a privilege for us to be able to continue to use our skills as actors, helping our students find their voice and build unshakeable confidence within them whilst so many other industries have suffered, especially the arts.
We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all of you this year. We look forward to continuing to offering our students the joy of developing their self-expression through LAMDA in 2021.
Very best wishes,
Liane
